About Us

Michael Giancola is the Managing Director of Artisan Furnishings. He is very much a “hands on” business owner. Michael has been a cabinet maker since 1991 and started his own business in O’Connor in 2002.

Roll on to 2011 when Michael built a new factory / office complex in Bibra Lake in order to expand his business. There is now a great team behind him consisting of an estimator, drafters, an office manager, a foreman, numerous qualified cabinet makers, apprentices and a professional installation technician.

Despite growing the business, Michael still personally oversees many of the projects to ensure the workmanship is still of the highest calibre. He also keeps his hand in with the estimating, drafting and installing. Artisan Furnishings’ specialty is high end custom work for the discerning home or business owner who enjoys quality workmanship. From initial contact with the client, Michael provides ideas and insights from his vast wealth of knowledge in this field, ensuring the client leaves with a design that is perfect for them and their home or business. For the clients that know exactly what they want, Michael and his team work with them and their architect, if they have one, to deliver high quality goods that they can show off to their friends as truly one off designs.

Michael offers a professional service and is always personally available for his clients should they need him. He strives to keep informed of the trends in both residential and commercial areas in order to offer advice to his clients and better meet their requirements.

Michael was so good at listening to our design ideas and giving us his best recommendations and making them come into reality. Our new home boasts a magnificent kitchen with plenty of cupboard and drawer space which incorporates a scullery that can be hidden away when not in use.

He also offered design ideas with a complementing colour scheme for all vanity colour’s in the wet areas of our home. Michael and his trade’s people were very respectful and professional which made our experience both relaxed and stress free during the whole building process. We recently had our kitchen renovated and from start to finish Mick and his team have been professional; communicated well with both ourselves and our builder; were always on time and exceptional with their service ... not a mean feat in the middle of a pandemic when supplies were at times difficult to come by and various pressures and difficulties experienced.

My advice to any future clients is to gather as many pictures of what inspires you; visit various showrooms which will open your eyes to trends and products; list functionalities that are important to you and the rest will be taken care of.

Artisan can make whatever your heart desires. I am extremely OCD and very particular with what I wanted ... the end result is a timeless and beautiful kitchen, professionally made and installed.

So impressed we will now venture into renovating my husband’s study and gym, as well as other cabinetry throughout our home.
